SELF-GUIDED Tour Details:

Come and join the original Warburton Rivertubing adventure, enjoying the pristine upper reaches of the Yarra River in Warburton is Mother Nature’s theme park, immersing you in a beautiful natural environment.

——————————————————————————-

* this is an ADVENTURE activity. It is not a theme park style contrived canal where you just drift down a waterway. Depending on rain etc the river can run differently almost daily. You will encounter rocks, branches and even logs if a tree has fallen and not yet been removed by authorities. A simple test to ask yourself… If you can’t get up off the floor, or out of a beanbag EASILY then this is NOT for you.

Politically sensitive sentence ahead: Again, this IS an outdoor adventure activity. If you or your child are timid or soft... this is not for you.  The "beanbag test" is serious - if you are very overweight then again, you will not enjoy this activity. Beyond that caution... you know your limitations and we are not here to judge you, but come eyes wide open.

You need a decent level of fitness and agility and MUST be able to fully comprehend a safety briefing delivered in English.

——————————————————————————

This is a perfect mix of adventure and nature immersions with some sections of safe rapids getting the heart racing whilst other sections are peaceful floating. Think squealing with fun, not screaming with fear.

For most of the (self-guided) 1 - 2 hour float you will be surrounded by nothing but nature and beautiful birdlife with sections of sunlight, shade and dappled combinations of both. There are opportunities to stop along the way and swim if you choose.

You will be driven up river in a bus with all the equipment in tow and the you will float back to where we started from - ending at the start location.

This adventure includes:

  • Safety briefing

  • Tube instruction

  • Transport up-river in a Certified Passenger Vehicle

  • Hire of a sturdy canvas covered river-tube, paddle, lifejacket and helmet (the latter two being available but optional for a Grade 1 river)

  • Assisted entry to river and launch-off

  • 1 to 2 hours of on-river fun (+prep and wrap up time)

Once we assist you to enter the river the adventure is self-guided, but don’t worry - you can’t get lost!
