Suitable for…

Bike Hire suitable for ages 12+ with riding skill. In the case of smaller children you would need to bring their bikes as the hire ones are adult bikes from XS to L - which are suitable for ages 12 and above (150cm +).

Rivertubing guests MUST be confident in water, reasonably fit and definitely agile. This is a moderate ADVENTURE activity. Minimum age is 10 years old.

how to Prepare…

Payment: Made at the time of booking. Check the refund policy when making a booking to ensure any changes are made in accordance with the policy.

Clothing and Footwear: Appropriate riding clothing and footwear is required. Top layers suitable for the climate of the day, and the event chosen. For Rivertubing wear the sort of attire you’d wear for say stand-up paddle boarding (aka protection from the sun but able to get wet) plus shoes you can wear in the water.

Food and Drink: Bring snacks or food as desired plus a bottle of water or your chosen drink (bring a rubbish bag).

Bring a Backpack if you’re riding: One person in a group should bring a small backpack to carry phones, clothes etc.

Toilets: There are toilets at the Basecamp but out on Rivertubing adventures you are in nature. #2’s before you go… #1’s behind a bush. For bikers, there are public toilets in multiple locations.

Parking: Available, instructions provided in your booking confirmation email.

when on tour…

Transport: Fully licensed and insured. All tour participants must be able to use a seat and seat-belt.

Bikes: Mountain bikes with disc brakes and 21 gears.

Timing: Commencement times must be adhered to for on-time departures. If you are late and we leave without you, unfortunately that is unavoidable. Once on tour, times are designed with some flex time integrated to stop and enjoy the journey. You must complete the journey within 30 minutes of any stated end time… which is ample.

Breakdowns: ( Not emotional ones, bikes… ) In the unlikely event that you have a malfunction like a flat tyre then you need to approach it in the same way you would a rental car e.g. have it repaired - there are bike shops doted through the valley, buses have bike racks so you can return by public transport worst case.
